These things are neat!
This performance blew me away. I am a fan of a capella singing, but this group makes all the ones I’ve seen before look like barbershop quartets. There are no instruments of any kind in this performance, all the “strings”, “brass”, “keyboards” and “percussion” are created by the voices of the performers. No “autotune” was done, no synthesizer trickery, this is just a group of people creating harmony and beauty.
Words don’t do it justice, just watch and listen.

I’m going to start posting more pictures etc. from my first trip to Japan, the famous NerdTour 2007, “real soon now.” Â Here’s a teaser of what I’ll be posting, a taste of the taste of Japan, so to speak…
This weekend I’m going to a reunion of my Aunt Mary’s family, her kids and grandkids and great-grandkids. Â Aunt Mary passed away many years ago, and I wish I had paid more attention to her, but when you’re a snot-nosed punk kid, you think old folks will be around forever. Â Then all of a sudden, you realize you’re not far from being “old folks” yourself, and you start to pay attention (often too late) to the ones around you that are left.
Did you ever have one of those annoying friends that just wouldn’t leave you alone?
Try to stay awake for this: The English town of Dull is teaming up with the Oregon town of Boring, in order to promote both towns in the spirit of “trans-Atlantic relations, tourism and humour”, and plan to come up with novelty items playing on both names, as well as promoting tourism to both.
